The Stanford Center on International Conflict and Negotiation (SCICN), in partnership with OpenXChange, presents:

Narratives of the Palestinian/Israeli Conflict: Film Screening and Panel Discussion

The Wanted 18

When: 6:30 pm, Monday, November 2

Where: Jordan Hall (Building 420 in the Quad), Room 041

This event is free and open to the Stanford community.

Humorous and thought-provoking, The Wanted 18 shows the power of mass mobilization and nonviolent resistance to the Israeli occupation during the First Intifada. Variety called the film “mind-opening” and “ingenious.”

The screening will be followed by a discussion about how our perspectives towards the Palestinian/Israeli conflict are formed, with:

Janine Zacharia, former Jerusalem Bureau Chief for the Washington Post

Suhad Babaa, Executive Director, Just Vision

Arie Dubnov, Faculty Member in the History Department, University of Haifa

The panel will be moderated by Allen Weiner, Co-Director of SCICN and Director of the Stanford Program in International and Comparative Law.
